How to start a production batch
Before you start
- Your role is Production operator, Site manager or Central manager.
- The batch is in the state Ready to start.
- The line is Line in service and no other batch is running on it.
- The device is online (the top bar says Online).
Steps
- Press Production in the row of screens.
- On the line card, below the running batch (or "No active batch on this line."), find the batch marked Ready to start and press it.
- Under Inputs, check that the olive lots and kilograms are right.
- Press Start batch.
- If the Start with mixed certification window opens, read it, write a Comment (required) and press Acknowledge and start.
- You see "Batch … started." The state becomes Running and the active time counts.

What if…
- …it says "Another batch is already running on the line; complete it first." Complete or end the running batch first. See How to complete a batch.
- …it says "The line is not in service." Talk to the Site manager.
- …the mixed certification window appeared. The olives have different certifications. If you start, the oil will not count as organic. If that is not right, press Close and talk to the Site manager before you start.
- …I do not see the Start batch button. The batch is not Ready to start (a Draft batch with no olive lots needs + Add olive lots first; a batch that does not exist yet is made with + New batch, see How to create a new batch), or your role is read only.
- …an olive lot should not be in it. Before the start press Remove next to it and write a reason. The kilograms return to the olive lot.
- …the connection dropped just as I pressed. "A command was not confirmed by the server…" appears. When the connection is back, press Resend: Start. It will not be recorded twice.
