How to correct a price
A price is never deleted or changed. A correction records a new price for the same key and the same date, with a reason. The new one replaces the old one.
Before you start
- Your role is Site manager or Central manager.
- You know the quality, the certification and the date of the wrong price.
- Open drafts using this price will be recalculated. Finalized settlements do not change; if a finalized one used the wrong price, it needs reversal and replacement.
Steps
- Press Prices. In the History find the wrong price (quality, certification, date). The Daily price entry form is at the top of the page.
- Choose the same Quality and Certification.
- Enter the same Effective date.
- The box "Correction: the current price is €…/kg." appears.
- In Price €/kg (up to 6 decimals) enter the right price.
- In Correction reason (required) write why it changes.
- Check the button: "Correct price …: €old → €new/kg".
- Press the button. In the History the old price says "Superseded · by €new/kg" and the new one "Active", with "replaces €old/kg" and the reason.

What if…
- …it says "A correction needs a reason." Write a reason.
- …the correction box does not appear. There is no price for exactly this quality, certification and date. Check the three fields.
- …someone is preparing a settlement with the old price. When they go to finalize, they see that the calculation changed, with the mark Changed and "the price was corrected", and confirm again.
