Correct an intake mistake
In TROPEION an accepted lot is never "edited". A wrong weight is corrected with a new correction record that replaces the previous weight. The previous weight is not deleted: it is kept in the history together with your reason. So it is always visible what changed, when and why.
Before you start
Find out what state the lot is in. The state is shown on its card:
- Not saved, Draft or Weighed, not accepted: no correction needed. Just change the weight in the field.
- Accepted and neither split nor in production: follow the steps below.
- Split or in production: see "What if…".
You need a connection and the correct weight.
Steps (accepted lot)
- On the lot's card, press Create weight correction.
- The Create weight correction window opens with the lot code and the "Accepted net weight". It also says "The previous weight is kept in the history; the reason is recorded in the audit."
- In New net weight (kg) type the correct weight. You can type Gross weight (kg) and Tare (kg) instead, and the net is computed for you.
- In Reason (required) write why you are correcting, for example "Typing error, the scale showed 1250".
- Press Create weight correction · ….
- If the new weight is above the site's limit, you see a warning. Check it and press Confirm … and create weight correction.
- The system may ask you to sign in again. After signing in, the correction is sent automatically.
- You see "A weight correction was created for …: new weight …." The card and the totals show the new weight.

To close without correcting, press Close (the text is kept).
What if…
- …you see "The new weight equals the accepted weight; no correction is needed.". You typed the same weight. Check the value.
- …the lot was split. The correction button does not appear. The order is: (1) if a new lot is in a production batch that has not started, it is removed from there, (2) the Site manager or Central manager reverses the split (Reverse a split), (3) you correct the original lot's weight with the steps above.
- …the lot went into production. You see "The lot is already in production; only a manager can correct it." Tell the Site manager.
- …the variety, origin or certification of an accepted lot is wrong. These cannot be changed on the intake screen. Tell the Site manager.
- …the lot is not accepted yet and you do not want it. Press Cancel lot with a reason. The code is kept as cancelled.
- …the whole intake is for the wrong producer. If no lot is accepted, press Cancel intake and arrival with a reason and start again with the right producer. If a lot is accepted, cancelling is not allowed. Tell the Site manager.
- …the connection drops. Press again when it returns. The correction will not be recorded twice.
