How to discard a settlement draft
Discarding applies only to a Draft. It credits and removes nothing; its lines become available again for a new draft.
Before you start
- Your role is Cashier and settlement officer, Site manager or Central manager.
- The draft is not finalized. A finalized settlement is not discarded; it is reversed.
Steps
- Open the draft from the Settlements list.
- Go to Final review (or press Skip to final review).
- Press Discard draft (the lines stay available).
- The question "Discard the draft?" opens. Press Yes, discard the draft. With No, keep the draft or Esc the draft stays as it was.
- You return to the list. The draft has the status Discarded.
What if…
- …I only wanted to take out one batch. If the batch has a blocker, use New draft without batch …, which discards the draft and opens a new one with the remaining lines. Otherwise discard and make a new draft with the lines you want.
- …it says "Someone else changed the settlement…". The current state is loaded. Check it before you repeat.
