How to count a tank
A count records the kilograms you measured in a tank. If they differ from the book stock, the difference is recorded as a "Count adjustment". It concerns only the mill's physical stock; producer balances do not change.
Before you start
- Your role is Warehouse and tank operator, Site manager or Central manager.
- You have measured the tank in kilograms.
- The tank is active.
Steps
- Press Tanks in the row of screens.
- Press the tank's card.
- Press Count with its code (for example Count Δ-01).
- In Counted kilograms (kg) enter the kilograms, for example
1149.5. Decimals with a comma or a period, up to 3. 0 is allowed for an empty tank. - Under the field you see the difference at once, for example "Difference (counted minus book): −50.5 kg", or "No difference from the book stock."
- If there is a difference, enter a Reason (required).
- Press the button that says what will happen, for example Record count of Δ-01: 1,149.5 kg.
- You see "Done: …" and the stock and history are updated.
What if…
- …it says "Enter a reason: the counted kilograms differ from the book stock." Fill in the reason.
- …it says "Δ-01 holds at most …". The kilograms exceed the capacity; check the measurement.
- …it says "The tank changed in the meantime by another movement." Someone else recorded a movement. What you typed is kept and the difference is computed again with the new stock. Check it and press again.
- …the connection dropped. Press again when it returns; the count will not be recorded twice.
- …I recorded a wrong count. A count is never deleted. Record a new count with the right kilograms.
- …I want to close without recording. Press Close without recording or Esc. What you typed stays if you open it again.
